Two summer staples in one.

abby, he's be silly not to like it (especially if it's good and hot outside); but, I've found more men than women to be skeptical about cold soups? Why is that?

Which brings me to sarah jane's question: Chilled soups were a tough sell for Patrick (as they seem to be for many men). I think that's one of the reasons why he used to conflate salsa and gazpacho. He has made this claim before, but it didn't make an appearance this time around. To give him credit, the ingredients are pretty much the same. The key difference, if you ask me, is blending half the vegetables with olive oil in a blender or food processor to make an emulsified liquid base. Otherwise, I, too, might be tempted to dip a chip rather than a spoon.

Does Patrick still say that gazpacho is "really ju...

Does Patrick still say that gazpacho is "really just salsa"?

He used to at McGill. :)

My husband loves tomato soup, but I haven't tried ...

My husband loves tomato soup, but I haven't tried this out on him.
